The Salzkammergut is probably my favourite place I’ve visited. So beautiful.
My wife and I stayed in Attersee one night visiting Europe from USA / NYC. We stayed a few nights in Budapest and rented a car and drove to Attersee, stayed one night at the Bed & Breakfast Zur Landeroith. It was absolutely beautiful and they were very surprised to see Americans. Drove to Hallstatt the next day and then eventually on to Prague. Needless to say driving on the autobahn was a blast.
