  3. The West needs to increase support for Ukraine. Russia is using chemical weapons, kidnapping women and children, murdering PoWs, using NK troops and giving NK support with their weapon and missile programs. Come on guys, get on with it! Stop worrying about Putin’s “red lines”.

  4. This is the huge next incremental step. This becomes a no fly-zone within 6 months, and the war is over. Russia’s only battlefield tactic that works is stand off munitions that blow the hell out of things, and then the peasant horde creeps in to the rubble that’s left.

  12. Time for either the EU nations plus UK or European NATO members go sans US and just close Ukrainian air space through missile defence systems, fighter aircraft and airfield defence troops.
    The US can no longer be considered a trusted ally or partner (never thought I would be ever need to be voicing that).
    I would go further and suggest full military support including boots on the ground.
    If Russia doesn’t like it, the ball would be in their court. To stop the pain they only need to turn around and take their murdering rapists home. If not then the full weight of Europe (with or without the US and Canada contributing) will be released and we will see if they prefer that consequence to not being a good neighbour!

  17. Intercept FUCKING EVERYTHING. Shoot down anything that isn’t from Ukraine or NATO. It’s fucking unacceptable we haven’t started doing it yet. Russia has proven time and time again they are willing to attack civilian targets and will likely ramp up attacks on the energy grid with winter coming. They’re just openly committing war crimes and we’re sitting around with airfields full of NATO fighters on the border. NATO should pledge to handle all airborne threats within Ukrainian airspace and free up Ukraines resources for the offensive. Fucking disgraceful we just sit by and watch…

  31. Nearly 1000 days and the west has not learned its lessons. “may be on the table in next nato meeting” – maybe not, maybe the one after that, so realistically in 12 months. Then again, various parties discussing another 12 months. In the meantime, Russia is preparing to counteract. Russia is at war with democracies, it is a war between systems, they still have not realized that. The western democracies are driving against a wall in slow motion and are not realizing the situation they are in. They still do not take Sun Tzu’s Art of war serious – “the key to victory is the ability to use surprise tactics”. Hell, why do they always need to discuss what may come in the future so that Russia can prepare a loooong time before? The west is so desilliusioned and arrogant, it’s a disgrace. They are preparing for their defeat. Just fucking do it and do not announce it two years before. And send some more goodies.
