I was in America last week with the kids on a big holiday to Disney.
Honestly I couldn’t live in Florida. Every day is hot. Blazing sun, high humidity.
But I noticed one thing more than anything. They don’t have autumn there. It’s just one long, endless, summer. There was Halloween stuff going on. And ads on TV for Thanksgiving things.
But there were no leaves on the ground. No orange, yellow, and red leaves. No big piles of browning leaves. No naked trees. No conkers piled up around the place.
Palm trees for miles. Sun for days. Crowded amusement parks. Sweating constantly. Might go back in a few years when the kids are older. But they enjoyed it all the same.
