  2. Well, I don’t know anything about the furniture, but the wildfire part (in CA at least) is definitely voluntary, and seen as a perk to the prisoners. It’s only available to offenders with good behavior and who are pretty close to release. They get to eat way better food, get skills for potentially becoming fire fighters or other safety jobs after they get out.

    This proposition was misleading.

  3. People are in a tough on crime mood. Not a good political environment for this.
