It may not have been criminal , it was distasteful. At a time when people couldn’t be with dying loved ones or attend funerals or weddings, people who should have known better and should’ve had a grasp of the visual didn’t give a fuck. It screamed “well fuck you, I’m alright”, and that’s not a visual too many people are happy, it’d seem, to have representing them on the judiciary (Seamus Wolfe), internationally (Phil hogan), or even journalistically (Sean O’Rourke).
It screams of distaste, and they should’ve known better.
He got his fair share of the backlash but I feel like a lot of people got away much easier then he did. Wasn’t Sean O Rourke at it? He then said be wants to go back working with RTE after a traumatic event.
No surprise after “Golfgate” wasn’t found to have broken any restrictions that guys like Phil are now on the offensive.
