‘I was humiliated and treated like a criminal,’ Phil Hogan hits out at Golfgate ‘mob’

  1. It may not have been criminal , it was distasteful. At a time when people couldn’t be with dying loved ones or attend funerals or weddings, people who should have known better and should’ve had a grasp of the visual didn’t give a fuck. It screamed “well fuck you, I’m alright”, and that’s not a visual too many people are happy, it’d seem, to have representing them on the judiciary (Seamus Wolfe), internationally (Phil hogan), or even journalistically (Sean O’Rourke).

It screams of distaste, and they should’ve known better.

  2. He got his fair share of the backlash but I feel like a lot of people got away much easier then he did. Wasn’t Sean O Rourke at it? He then said be wants to go back working with RTE after a traumatic event.

  3. No surprise after “Golfgate” wasn’t found to have broken any restrictions that guys like Phil are now on the offensive.

  4. Phil, get to the audiologist asap kid you are fecking tone deaf. People can’t afford a house, and inflation rising leads to food vs. heating. You acted the bollox and threw your toys out of your cot as you got caught. Compo my arse!

  5. His problem is that the general public don’t think he should be above the law and of course that he didn’t have some sort of magical virus shield and was a super spreader piece of shit that put his own convenience above the lives of others.

He is a Fine Gael archetype that embodies everything that is rotten about our government including crying to the media.

  6. Phil… you shoulda known better. The very fact you got yourself into this pathetic pickle shows you don’t deserve the position you held.

  7. Can this fat ugly bastard get the fuck over himself and stop bringing up this shit as if anyone sympathises with how much of a cunt he was during one of the worst periods of the pandemic

  8. We don’t hold the people in power in this country to account, that entire trial was a stitch up from start to finish. They’re all out now trying to claim innocence.

  9. When my dad was in hospital dying of cancer it was extremely difficult if not impossible to see him because of lockdown restrictions, when it came to his funeral we were allowed no more than 8 people at it.

Phil Hogan can get fucked with a sandpaper dildo.

  10. Specifically for Phil Hogan, wasn’t there a 14 day travel restriction for coming from abroad?

Anyway, I think that while Golfgate may be “legal” because it was technically two rooms instead of one, I’m betting those two rooms mingled freely and organising an event for 81 people the day after the Taoiseach lowered the 50 people to 6 people was a complete joke.

  11. I worked for this fat fuck back when he was minister in the Dept of Environment in customs house. in early ’00s

Man what a Total Cunt, He was , is, the epitome of a corrupt politician,Anything the cunt ever did was for personal gain.

  12. To resign: definition: ‘to voluntarily leave a job or office’.

Clearly big Philly have a very vague understanding of the word voluntarily.

  13. I always found Hogan to be unpleasant and abrasive, but I think he has a point. Golfgate was an overegged and hysterical scandal

  14. Fuck him, he should have been made an example of, if politicians don’t follow the rules why should anyone else.

  15. From what I recall at the time the biggest issue was the changing story and lies. That’s what annoyed the public most.
