I don’t usually approve desicions made by him, but this is understandable. Serbia is in difficult situation because of the Kosovo issue. We need support from Russia, but also we need support from the EU.

2. No fuel on gas stations, as owner of State oil company and rafineries is Gazprom
3. Natural gas goes to 2,000 usd per 1k m3, as there is no alternative supply route, unlike with others

Dear God, this subreddit is full of children too lazy to read a word after the title. First of all this topic has already been [posted here two days ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/t1a1sz/serbia_supports_ukraine_and_respects_its/). Second of all, none of you armchair economists have a slightest understanding of the kind of position Serbia is in, we are quite literally stuck between two power blocks so we took the only path available to us – neutrality.
If we were to condemn Russia as readily as you think we can, not only would we lose their backing in the UN but they’d also turn off the damn valve on already overpriced fuel. Unlike the western Europeans we don’t have the luxury of a safety net, sanctioning Russia is tantamount to economical suicide. We still support Ukraine the way we can – through humanitarian aids and refugee housing.
