I have seen a earlier post about an insect an some of you said it could be either Paperfish or Silverfish, however, the one I saw today in my flat (photo) looks kind of different from internet images as it has a lot of legs and tails? so I would like to ask you guys for your thoughts 🙂

  1. thats Fred. Fred is your friend now.

joke aside.. how many legs does it have? silverfish are insects = six legs.. .this thing looks like it has 100 legs… or is it just the photo? how much is “alot of legs”? 6? 10? more?

could it be sth like this? [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hundertf%C3%BC%C3%9Fer#/media/Datei:Scutigera_coleoptrata_in_a_house_2006-08-13.jpg](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hundertf%C3%BC%C3%9Fer#/media/Datei:Scutigera_coleoptrata_in_a_house_2006-08-13.jpg)

  2. House centipede. They hunt all kinds of insect pests in your house, so they’re beneficial.

  3. Like others have said, it’s a house centipede. What I want to emphasise: please don’t kill it. It’s appearance means two things:

    1. You have other, harmful insects in your house (like cockroaches)

    2. It is trying to help getting rid of them
