russian propagandist Sergei Sergeevich Karnaukhov suggests that russian soldiers should kill themselves rather than become disabled, as the alternative would require paying 3 million rubles ($30,000) in compensation to soldiers injured or traumatized during the war, which is unacceptable to the tsar

  1. I approve … it will help with the data quality on military losses.

  2. Why not put a gun to the head of Putin and save a shit lot more

  3. Not even going to bother with pretense or lies anymore. Straight up truth.  This may actually work well for everyone.

Ukraine saves a drone, russia comes off looking even more evil, and the world hates them even more for how sociopathic they are. Plus no one can use their laughable lies to try and push an alternate dialogue of them not being complete bastards.

  4. in case someone picks it up in russia, hint hint hint, what he says is in fact high treason on multiple levels, even disrespects his fourth strongest force in russia. From the playbook: how to say you are a bunch of lunatics without saying you are lunatic. He also implicit admits they have so many WIA they run into huge troubles.

Apart from that, f*ck it, if they do – even better, guarantees the moscow boys become drafted and vanished sooner.

  5. In Iraq like back in ‘17 they paid out $40k as a lump sum I heard but I think that was death and not injury. Wild though that they’d pay out more than Russia in 2024.

  6. Fuck. I could imagine why some people fight for their country, even if it isn’t a great cause at the time. Not saying I agree, but I can see how they end up doing it.

But FUCK…as much as I love my country, “Shoot yourself so the government doesn’t have to pay disability” would absolutely tear it.

If I was this guy, I’d be looking over my shoulder, because a disabled vet is probably about to shoot me.

  7. Imagine your government starting a war , make an absolutely mockery of it , then has some propaganda guy tell you to kill yourself like how do Russians even accept or listen to this shit?

  8. 3 million rubles? Who would of thought that a bag of onions would be that expensive for the Russian Army?

  9. If they do this before attacking, they can be absolutely sure they won’t be disabled unexpectedly. Win-win!

  10. Civilians should kill thrmself to before needing ambulance or in russia whämbulance.

  11. I love the Russian honesty and pragmatic approach… O yeah, and their immense stupidity.

  12. I’d say as a propagandist this dude is not exactly helping russia find fresh soldiers. More like anti-propagandist

  13. Someone needs to fly a drone into his booth and make him think about his words.

  14. Surely a veritable land of milk and honey, overflowing with “love” and “resources” for its “heroes.” /s

Now Putin’s own mouthpieces are saying what’s established reality: *mobiks* are cheaper as ill-shod corpses, onions and vegetable oil are expensive, butter apparently non-existent, and Putin the “all-powerful” wannabe-tsar won’t pay.

High time Russian troops started picking over Putin and his “elite” to see if they have money just lying around somewhere in their expensive suits, *dachas*, or yachts. If they can’t stand and deliver, sounds like a great opportunity for estate sales.

  15. I consider such a statement to be so inhumane that it should cause an outcry from mothers even in a brutalized society like Russia.

  16. Don’t wait till you’ve been injured, think of the treasury.

  17. This sentiment is absolutely horrific.  Imagine that your life is worth less than $30,000 to those family members you left behind.  Those Russians are literally worthless pieces of meat, and they accept that.  Propaganda is a powerful drug I guess.

  18. Das war schon immer der Plan, oder glaubt wirklich jemand, Putin zahlt ?

  19. The should kill their comanders. That would be just.
