Honestly pigeons are beautiful doves and it’s a shame they are seen as pests because their usefulness to humans ended with the advancement of technology.
How quickly we forget the creatures that held us up.

If the OP had hung around he would have got the full on sexual pigeon experience, next step is the male saddles the female and then she bends her tail to one side while he bends his the other way and then their bum holes touch and that, my friend is copulation…

One time I was sat alone on a hilltop with a small bunch of trees behind me. A female and male pigeon landed on a branch. I watched for about 15-20 mins as the male kept trying for her, doing all kinds of little dances and sly moves. Eventually he got on top of her, and I looked away for approximately 1.5 seconds because I heard a noise. I looked back, and they were done. I thought I was fast but damn, my guy did not waste time. They flew off together about 30 seconds later.
