I don’t miss the days of overhearing Chavs talk over the phone to one another on public transport. I feel like they should come with subtitles half the time.
Always take some paracetamol before going on the bus.
It is entertaining to hear them.
English isn’t my first language. So when someone speaks in my native language, it’s really fun to hear their drama and all the things they talk about 😂
I had to listen to a grown man (who should have known better) talk to one of his online dating app matches for a 20-minute bus journey last week. How did I know that? Well, he asked if she’d been on any more dates, and she must have said ‘No’ because he replied: “That’s because you’ve had the best.” As if that wasn’t bad enough, she mustn’t have heard him, so he had to repeat it THREE TIMES.
“That’s because you’ve had the best.”
“THAT’S because you’ve had the best.”
“That’s BECAUSE you’ve had the best”
“That’s because you’ve had the BEST.”
Honestly, he should have given up after the second one. There’s not enough cringe in this world.
Why else would they be on speaker phone in public..?
