SmartWater: The forensic spray helping keep women safe

  1. Can anyone explain this to me? They example they gave of it working was a woman spraying it out of the window at her abuser meaning there was ‘forensic evidence he was at the scene’.

If thats all it does its worrying enough that the police cant do anything when the victim is a witness to their abuser showing up. But also I dont see how this adds any extra proof beyond witness testimony. Its still relying on the same witness being honest when they say the spray was applied at their home not, say, at tescos..?

  2. Sooooooo

What’s to stop someone spraying someone as ‘proof’ they were in this specific location at this specific time, when really they weren’t?

Eg I spray my mate with this stuff at the pub. I then report a burglary and suggest whoever it was was sprayed at the time of the incident. Oh wouldn’t you know, my mates covered in the stuff. Must’ve been him?

  3. We use that shit at work or a version of it. Shit dosent wash off at all. Good for catching folk nicking cables bad if you are working on them.
