This little chonk has been taking advantage of the free food available from my MIL. Time to go on a diet methinks.

  1. If squirrels hibernated, this one would have enough fuel for the winter and beyond…

  2. Feeding them what…..McDonald’s?! At least he’ll be warm for the winter

  3. “Excuse me ma’am, do you have a moment to talk about our Lord and Saviour, Peanut Bob?”

  4. I saw a wild one roughly that size in the Welsh hills before and got a photo with my DSLR. He must have found the motherload of acorns.

  5. Grey squirrel tastes nice simply roasted…and yours seems ready stuffed.

    Just saying…

  6. Free food from the MIL. Sign me up! My MIL makes a banging Sunday roast. A few of them will have me looking like this big boy!

  7. Google “fat squirrel season” – I promise you won’t be disappointed!

  8. This is how squirrels will one day take over the world…

  9. Having come from an area where we have red squirrels, we were enthralled by the adventuras greys when on a camping holiday in the Brecon Beacons. We watched one nip in to someone’s tent and emerge with a biscuit in its paw which it then delicately nibbled. The camp site owner hated them…’ bloody tree rats, I call em!’ Said in her beautiful sing song lilt.

  10. At this rate, he’ll soon be pulling up in a little mobility scooter for his next free meal.

  11. I hope you don’t mind me saying so, but your MIL is quite hairy.

  12. Christmas turkey gonna be different this year. Gotta save money.

  13. Making them obese is doing more harm than good. If she cares about the squirrels she’ll stop feeding them until they lose some weight, and if she starts feeding them again she’ll only feed healthy food such as plain unsalted nuts or seeds in sensible amounts and not suet or human foods.

  14. Well, it’s more than ready for stuffing into the Christmas fowl now…

  15. You’re not putting him on a diet. You can try but from the size of him he’s easily breaking in.

  16. I feed one like this he will literally crawl all over me to get food
