  1. Man. Russia could be such a powerhouse country. Instead they are a just gas station masquerading as a country, just like McCain said.

So many people, so many resources…

  2. Not sure why rare earth metals isn’t listed for US since we have some of the largest deposits in the world.

  3. Isn’t the US the largest producer of oil or something?

  4. So basically, countries with large territories or with a lot of oil

  5. This is a terrible graphic. The resource bubbles aren’t in a consistent place nor are they in a consistent order with no indication of why the order changes or if it’s based on which is most prevalent.

  6. If all we value is extraction. Of course, in order to realize these figures we’d have to burn all that coal and oil. How do we weight the subsequent losses?

  7. I didn’t know that the US had so much wealth in timber, unless they mean soft wood. When I want to buy some hardwood (e.g., maple) I have to order it.

  8. Maybe, just maybe, we shouldn’t count timber as a natural resource that we can simply harvest to make some money.

  9. Thank god for visualcapitalist teaching us that nature only has value when we consume it.

Stay tuned for kochbrothersdata next, telling us oil is sustainable.
