  1. EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell in Kyiv Saturday pledged “unwavering” support for Ukraine, on the first visit by a top Brussels official after Donald Trump’s win.

The volatile Republican’s victory in the United States presidential election has set nerves jangling in Ukraine and Europe that Trump could end Washington’s support for Kyiv’s fight against Russia’s invasion.

  2. Bla, bla, and bla. I’ll believe it only when I see it. Europe has been a coward so far, nothing makes me think we changed.

  3. as long as im not seeing massive state sponsored re-armament programs this isnt changing shit

  4. Russia’s economy is 5% the size of Europes, lets smash the crumbling shithole back to the dark ages. Hopefully Russia will then learn invading neighbours isn’t a great idea.

  5. If for whatever reason the West is forced to get Ukraine to cede land in return for a ceasefire, I bloody expect Ukraine to at least take the Kerch Bridge down with them.

  6. EU? As in EU minus some countries, potentially more if the stinky part of the right wins more elections?

  7. Do it!

We have the technology as well as the money. It’s a political question.

  8. Great news! Let’s keep throwing more money and lives into the furnace. When the political settlement inevitably arrives in a year or two, Ukraine will be forced into far greater political and territorial concessions than would have be necessary if we had only faced up to reality.

  9. In order to help. And help effectively, you need to have brains in head, or balls in pants. And better yet, both. Otherwise, it’s just talk. Moral support, which leads to the war simply continuing. Sometimes, it seems to me that it’s better not to support at all, than to support like this. At least fewer people would die.

  10. Support has been seeming to be wavering for while now.

i believe it when i see it

  11. in german “am langen Arm verhungern lassen” (starving by the long arm) this through passive, delaying measures towards someone who is dependent

  12. Show it. We’re still waiting for real support vs. just talking about it.

  13. “Unwavering”. Except for Hungary… Except for Slovakia… Except for Italy… Except for Austria… Except for…

  14. >EU Vows ‘Unwavering’ Support

    Wow. It change SO MUCH

    Oh wait it doesnt

  15. That would be cool since up to now it has been pretty wavering

  16. Unwavering is not enough dudes, contributions must be at least doubled over the entirety of EU.
