DENMARK — Denmark Technical College celebrated the coronation of Jake Wight and Amaya Larkins as Mister and Miss Denmark Technical College during a ceremony on Friday evening. The event honored this long-standing HBCU tradition and celebrated student leaders and scholars. Family, friends, faculty, staff, alumni and community members gathered to celebrate the new Royal Court.
“I am deeply honored to represent Denmark Technical College in this role. Serving as Mister DTC will allow me to give back to a college that has already given me so much. I am ready to celebrate the core values of Denmark Tech and inspire my fellow students to reach new heights,” said Wight.
“Being chosen as Miss Denmark Technical College is a dream come true. I am excited to be a role model to my fellow students and will represent DTC with integrity and pride. This is a moment I will always cherish and I look forward to serving our student body and community,” added Larkins.
