1. Opening of WWI with the Kaiser’s invasion of Belgium
2. Germany’s last attempt to defeat Allied forces
3. Baron Von Richtofens burial with full military honors by Allied forces
4. Sinking of Lusitania, one of the primary triggers for the US’s entrance into WWI
5. Burial Procession of the Unknown Soldier into the tomb of the Unknown Soldier
6. Kaiser abdicates throne and flees
7. November 11^(th) victory newspaper
8. The False Armistice – AP got a little excited and jumped the gun on announcing the end of WWI, all of Chicago celebrated only to find out the war was still going on
9. Victory newspaper and Peace Newspaper
I find it harder to read WWI newspapers knowing how it will be repeated within a generation
The US were late as usual.
Thankfully the peace story didn’t turn out to be a hoax
German reunification was the biggest mistake of the post WW2 20th century. Every time you let them grow too big it ends in a war.
>World’s greatest war ends!
Hehehe…

By the way, it’s not going to be that easy this time, Sorry!
Interesting. I always was told that sinking of Lusitania was a warcrime. In the newspaper it is stated that it was carrying ammunitions. That made it a legit target. Sheds a new Light on the incident. Thanks For sharing.
Heh, something amusing about seeing printing errors from such a long time ago. 🙂
The first paper, near the middle-bottom-ish of “Aircrafts engage in midair battle” you can see that the letter ‘a’ gave up for a bit – “Germn irship in midir.”
This truly could have been the “end of autocracy” as that newspaper says – had the Entente not decided to force such harsh terms on the defeated countries. This way, it was but a dose of petrol for the fire of autocracy.
TIL Roland Garros wasn’t a tennis player
Alright our boys are coming home! Wait why are they all staring into three thousand feet of dead space
I like the little article on the paper about the Ottoman Empire surrendering about the need for more gravediggers for some epidemic that wasn’t decreasing 😞
First page talks about Servia (Serbia). Interesting pick for the name.
It’s with v with multiple occasions so it’s not typo.
“Chauffeur robbed by trio after long ride”, poor dude.
That’s how every HxH Mangapage looks like
*The Great war, so great we won’t need another.*
1914 Americans had more imagination. 160 miles to Paris and no conversion for the distance into football fields or washing machines ?

Jokes aside, it was a horrible war .. it wasn’t called for nothing the Great War for a long time.
