  1. I think they meant to say “hopes” rather than “expects”.

  2. Right, Trump will definitely do the “right” thing, for himself.

  3. I think Mr. Healey is delusional.

Why would the new American President – who has no morals – change his position at this point and not go through with his “I can stop this war in 24 hours” idea?

Perhaps Mr. Healey doesn’t really understand who this new President really is.

  4. Ha, ha, ha, I guess the UK has not been paying attention these past 2 decades.

  5. Please tell me James bond 3.0 has copies of the PP tapes to make this happen.

  6. On what would you base those expectations: his honesty, his maturity, his knowledge, his loyalty,… ?

  7. One of the funniest things to me is the double speak Trump uses. He wants to pull of out NATO because he thinks it’s a bad investment for the US…

You know what’s an even worse investment? Bankrolling something for years and then pulling out with nothing.

The money the US put into NATO comes back to them in the amount of influence they exert, as well as ensuring they don’t have to get into another war in Europe.

If there ever were another huge war in Europe, even bigger than Ukraine, it would be far better for the U.S. to simply arm and bankroll nato rather than putting US boots on the ground. The U.S. is historically isolationist, bankrolling NATO is actually their ideal scenario.

  8. Pootin has a very serious problem. He has destroyed his military. 1 million dead or disabled and no big win would most definitely see Russians turn on him like they have turned on most of their leaders in their past.
Pootin needs to continue this war and nothing trump or anyone else says will stop him. The only way this war ends is when pootin is gone, whether he flees Russia or is deleted by his oligarchs, his removal is the only way this ends. If he sign any peace treaty, even if we know he never abides by them, his people will see it as a surrender, a loss, and turn on him.

  9. I do hope they’re right. I also hope Biden approving US contractors to repair F-16’s inside Ukraine ties Trumps hands on the matter too.

  10. So we’ve just become a society of idiots, have we?

    That was fast.
