  1. A big cat on the loose will be one of those Great British myths that will just never die.

  2. I live up in The Highlands and regularly guide clients on countryside walks, I’ve seen similar animals on my walks around Fort Augustus. I even have my own video, which is about as useful as the images on this news post…

Thing is, only in person can you clearly see its a scale size larger than a domestic cat. I knew of sightings up here (Loch Lomond, Great Glen, Lochaber), but have not heard of any south of the border yet.

If anyone wants to look up more info, google Kellas Cat. They have taxidermy’s of the species and are thought to be a genetic mix of the Scottish Wild cat and the household domestic cat.

  3. The longer distance views show it to be a normal domestic cat, zooming in (out of focus) is very hoaxy, like when you saw the full photo of the Surgeon’s Loch Ness Monster, you see the ripples better and it’s clearly a smaller model.

  4. Every fucking year…. I remember these stories back in the 60s.

  5. Years ago in Scotland there were reports of a panther type cat killing sheep.
The experts said it couldn’t be a hybrid domestic/wildcat…..they laid traps and eventually caught it.
It was a big amazing looking black cat that was a cross between domestic and wildcat.

  6. Why are the red tabloids obsessed with ‘big cats’ in Britain…

  7. I’ve been wandering around the British countryside for years dressed up as a big cat. Don’t know why noone has caught me yet.

  8. Just looks like a podgey cat to me to be honest. Anybody have any really good evidence of a big cat? The pictures I see always seem like out of focus pictures of domestic cats.

  9. Me and a mate actually saw one while hunting in north Kent. Unmistakably a big cat. There had been other sightings locally too as it’s near a large network of woodland.
