  9. Rock just started coming across super inauthentic. He’s always had that, “Wow that’s great, let’s drink some Tequila,” generic response to everything but people just get tired of that perfect sheen.

    In a way it’s benefitted him because he was the highlight of the lead up to WrestleMania and he’s about to star in an A24 movie. He needed some adversity to make him branch out to some degree.

  24. The Rock was a character that to this day can’t be matched. The charisma, the humor, combined with the in ring stuff was just fun to watch. However, I’ve always found him to be a very bland and boring actor in movies. He has no range and is always the same guy.

    All his big hits are stuff where he is playing opposite to other stars like Fast and Furious (Vin Desil’s franchise) and Jumangi

  27. I do enjoy the movies he’s in but once you create content, it changes how you are perceived. His movies, with a grain of salt, are fun to watch, because its shaped around Dwayne’s strengths in acting/ personality. YouTube channel was great but it drew you closer to who he is and who his brand is, and I think it kind of took that mystic away. He’s attempted different roles, but all major actors I believe need to keep the veil hidden so you don’t know what’s coming next, or excite you for the next piece.

    TLDR: Too much of The Rock’s superstar presence, caused people to go numb to it’s shine.
