5. They might “have” the tech, but its not implemented en masse when rivers are still filled with manufacturing byproducts and plastic rice is used as a filler in bags of real rice to cut down costs.

14. China already was the global leader in climate action. I believe they’re the only country (and certainly only superpower) with a concrete plan to reach carbon neutrality (2060). They’ve consistently beat most of their 5 year climate goals, and I see no reason why they won’t continue to do so. If humans survive climate change, they will have the Chinese people to thank.
