Over 40 per cent of Danish research budget to allocated to sustainable work next year

The Danish government and other parties have entered an agreement allocating over 40 per cent of its research budget on green research next year. The distribution of 5.5 Danish kroner billion will go towards research and innovation, including security and health, which will also receive significant investment.

Each year, the allocation of the research reserve is part of national budget negotiations. The amount for next year is the highest ever, according to the government. It added that the same goes for the total budget for public research for 2025—DKr 30.3bn—corresponding to 1 per cent of GDP.
