Jacob Rees-Mogg is extremely proud that we can’t assist foreign nations’ aircraft, expecting that it magically creates a local industry for local people.
The EU of course being well known for its aversion to bureaucracy, that must be why their economic growth is so good.
Have we lost that though, if they needed some wings they get them from the UK
I visited Spain a few months ago…no permit, no visa, just a stamp in the passport. #shitpost
not quite
I mean I’m pro EU but you can’t deny that’s a massive carbon footprint vs having it all in one place
My company made me smuggle electronics into mainland Europe for an urgent fix because it takes so long getting anything through customs. I got in fine, got searched leaving because I was hiding a can of Chocomel lol
My guess is it’ll all happen again in 2034 – 2039 Parliament when its become clear boomers really are exiting the electorate and the support situation has radically changed. Assuming all else remains equal.

Now try to put a value on what’s been lost. It’s staggering, and cumulative – it’s annual not a one off cost and it grows every year.
Still happens under reciprocal aerospace approvals between the EU and UK.
Hell, it still happens under reciprocal arrangements between the US, UK and EU under the Part 145 requirements.
Hello aerospace manufacturer, I’m dad.
It was also great for terrorists, go on a killing spree and then flee across multiple countries.

It’s a shame you can’t have an open market system without sacrificing your local sovereignty to a confederated international general government. The open market economic model is great, but it does suck it comes tied to so much political baggage.
Massively convoluted, complex and expensive supply chains with an insane carbon footprint to boot…
This gets so boring. Move on
It’s more than a little pathetic to obstruct someone moving around Europe, because they wanted out the corrupt and wasteful dictatorship that is the eu. Then you get absolute proper simps stating “this is what we lost!” 😡
