I watched a documentary yesterday about WW2 and apparently after Hitler had the French formally surrender in the same train cart where the Germans surrendered during WW1 (what kind of drama queen move was that anyway) he ordered the cart to be destroyed. Without it there’s not really any incentive to go again. But in all seriousness I think about it a lot that we’re defying many of our ancestors simply by coexisting peacefully. I don’t know why they believed us to just be born as enemies due to some kind of mystical law but I know that the current level of inner European community is one of the few things I consider worth fighting for.

  10. Oh god no. You’ve picked a picture of two of our worst/weakest leaders. Kinda symbolic for both of them tho. Both Kohl and Mitterrand seemed like the kinds of people who needed constant hand holding and would have cried if you left them in a room alone for too long. Don’t leave Helmut alone with his wife, tho.
