"24 days the "Dnipro" tourniquet was on the arm of a soldier from a separate rifle battalion of one of the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The soldier was seriously wounded and buried in the ruins of the city of Vovchansk.

Note: "Missing in action."
The harsh reality of war!

After 22 days, he managed to escape the deadly trap and crawl out. Our aerial reconnaissance spotted him. Another 2 days later, a group of brave individuals managed to reach him and carry out the evacuation.

The "Dnipro" tourniquet is really awesome!!! If it had loosened even by a millimeter, toxins would have entered the bloodstream, the kidneys would have failed, and the soldier would have died.

Another thing that impressed me was the will to live of this soldier. He is in good spirits and even jokes!!!

Never give up!!!"

  1. It’s impossible to imagine what this individual endured, being severly injured and trapped under rubble all alone while their arm continued to decompose. The survival and final rescue seems like a miracle.

  2. Ukrainium is more than strengh, it is the sheer will to survive. The power of a Jedi and i wish all the best for him. May he recover fast. All my love to the heros who fight and help. Slava Ukraini

  3. Damn that arm was reduced to a raisin. Glad that he made it tho.

  4. If somehow this message makes it back to that gentleman God bless you and the way you survived is just simply a miracle love you friend

  5. Wow. Looked up Dnipro tourniquet because I’ve never heard of it. Appears to be a CAT clone made in Ukraine.

  6. any reconnaissance video of the rescue operation involved to save this man?

Sounds like this soldier is hard as nails and was going to live regardless what was thrown at him. Great story of survival

  7. What a badass individual!!! Hope at least he’s right handed. Slava Ukraine.

  8. The strength of the Ukrainian Warrior!

  9. Me reading the title then flipping through he photos…

“24 days of a tourniquet, man, I’ll be his arm looks like… Yeah, like that.”

  10. Wonder why it looks like the arm and hand are still attached…? What’s going on there??

  11. I cannot begin to imagine how badly this room had to have smelled.

  12. What an absolute badass. Dude is trapped and can’t move, his arm is fkn rotting off, and he survives for damn near a month to fight another day.

Respect. Let’s see some Russian hireling do anything like this.

  13. With that drive to survive Ukraine has lost the war with soldiers like him.

  14. Imagine smelling how a good chunk of your body decomposes. Hard to imagine he’ll ever recover from the mental stress.

  15. Just think a Russian soldier would have offed himself in the first 5 minutes. This dude is a beast.

  16. Sorry for asking this. What gonna happen to his hand. Will they amputate it or can it heal?

    Thanks in advance.

  17. Geezus…what a man. Seriously if most people were in that situation watching as their arm rotted away I imagine they would have taken the bullet and easy way out. This is insane
