  1. “Real estate companies have responded by offering their own financing programs, similar to the subprime model used in the U.S. that caused the 2008 global financial crisis. Borrowers can take out cheap loans with rates well below the regulator’s prime rate for a fixed period of a few years, but the rates will rise to match the prime rate after the honeymoon period is over. It’s a bet that the Central Bank will reverse its monetary policy in a few years — in other words it’s a bet that the war in Ukraine will stop soon — and rates will fall again. But if that doesn’t happen, Russia will face a major housing-induced financial crisis.”

    Yes, very sad. Anyways…

  2. EU really needs to keep the pressure on Russia, they are about to crack.

  3. Russia is in a death spiral and by late next year i would bet on a major recession.

  4. a Harris win would’ve been a free Ukraine… so close

  5. With trump going into office, and his history of not paying bills, this will be the US in a year or so

  6. Europe needs to sanction the U.S. if we start trading with Russia.

  7. Good! Now when they say that Russia is winning — no! They are loosing and loosing big. If the West continues to support Ukraine — Russia will loose. They will break up too. The Western World needs to stay strong and continue to press these rascists and support Ukraine in her fight.

  8. If you want to look at it cynically then bankruptcies “free up” people for the military and companies deemed “essential” to the war effort are if not de jure often de facto owned by the state.
Putin is not an economist and his limited formal education keeps him from fully understanding the impact of such economic problems. I guess to him a Russian economy is optional as long as he can hire new people for the meatgrinder and his personal wealth and power are not affected.
Basically, I have doubts that Russian economic problems will be the factor which will defeat Russia in this conflict. I think Putin can impose a lot more suffering on the Russian people, the “narod”, before his power base crumbles.
The best way forward would still be to give Ukraine all the supplies and equipment to make Russia suffer unsustainable losses. Now that would be something Putin can understand.

  9. No wonder Trump loves Russia so much, bankruptcies are his favourite thing to do.

  10. Ah they just had to wait till trump is in office. If sc trump might even sent Putin a few hundred million tax dollars to aid Russia.

  11. Just need to wait a couple months and I’m sure they’ll get a nice bailout 🇺🇸

  12. This is the last Christmas- there will be no money in 2025

  13. Maybe trump can send American Aid to Russia. His cult would love that.

  14. perfect for the rich…just wait and buy for a fraction of its worth
