  1. Not all of it, but yes. It is called biomonitoring, and it was first introduced in 1994 in Poznań.

  2. Warsaw is. Secondary to other monitoring measures but with full control to take swift corrective actions. Having non electronic fallback increases resiliency of the design.

  3. Radegast, Czech brewery, uses trouts to monitor water quality for beer production.
