ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 12. Finland is a
reliable and trusted partner of Kazakhstan within the Nordic region
and the European Union at large, said President Tokayev during his
meeting with the President of Finland, Trend reports

During the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework
Convention on Climate Change, the President of Kazakhstan,
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, conferred with the President of Finland,
Alexander Stubb. In the discussion, the two leaders reiterated
their dedication to enhancing bilateral relations, encompassing
commerce, economy, and cultural-humanitarian domains. The
successful execution of collaborative projects involving Finnish
enterprises in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, industrial
engineering, and machinery was acknowledged.

Furthermore, they kicked around ideas on the latest
international and regional matters, along with working hand in hand
within multilateral organizations. The President of Kazakhstan
extended a hearty wish for Finland to hit the ground running in its
OSCE chairmanship.

After the discussions wrapped up, the Presidents of Kazakhstan
and Finland shook hands on the idea of swapping visits, which will
give a fresh boost to fortifying their political and economic ties
between Astana and Helsinki.

The United Nations Climate Change Conferences are annual events
conducted under the auspices of the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The Conference of the
Parties (COP) serves as the official assembly of UNFCCC parties to
evaluate advancements in addressing climate change. The COP of this
year is being held in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. COP29
is scheduled for November 11 to 22.
