For the next 2 years I don’t want to hear a single complaint from republicans and “uncommitted”s, y’all gave him a mandate, and I’ll be the first one to admit I’m wrong if he does a good job, somehow, but I have a feeling we’re going to be hearing a lot of “why did x get so expensive?”, and “How come Gaza isn’t on the map anymore?”

They had the entire govt for 2 years when trump originally got in.
They got nothing done…tax cuts for the rich, a wall built 2% long.

It’s going to suck watching Trump on Jan 20 tell us how great the economy suddenly is, thanks to him of course. With inflation back to normal levels and prices edging downward, this is going to be a repeat of his first term where he waltzes into the White House with an economy that Democrats fixed.

After January, *any* criticism of the government is criticism of Republican policy, as they will control all three branches of government. Don’t let anyone get away with arguing otherwise.
Trump made a lot of bright and shiny promises. Maybe he’ll deliver. Maybe he won’t. Either way, they own the federal government now lock stock and barrel. With great power comes great responsibility. If they fix everything, then great. They were right. If they fail however, they were wrong.
They were given a blank check to try out their policies. The results, good or bad, will be 100% theirs.
I’ve been told “liberal tears” by quite a few people out in public, and when I think back to January 6th, you realize these people are neither gracious winners or losers.

So we’ll just sit here and wait for: cheap gas, no more inflation, low interest rates, affordable housing, winning the trade war with China, lowering the national debt, massive economic growth, a huge decline in crime, a much better healthcare system to replace the ACA, a slick new immigration system, and of course a new dawn of world peace. Can’t wait to see all this in action!
Let’s not get all crazy. GOP will have a razor thin majority. Since Trump took two representatives to join his cabinet. There will need to be special elections to fill those seats. Maybe some Americans who are dealing with regret will give the democrats a bone.

I voted for Kamala and did everything I could to try convincing others and warn what would happen if Trump wins. I’m giving myself permission to check out and coast through the next 2+ years of destruction.
Best case scenario is Trump is so lazy and chaotic that less than half his policies and proposals make it through.
All that’s left is for the senate to nuke the filibuster and we’re completely fucked.

GOP has not only the presidency and the two houses but also the supreme court. Has any party ever had all the four bodies under it’s control? Or is this unique?
Expect to see a lot more Jim Jordan led committee hearings putting the Democrats and the DOJ on trial. They want to convict people so bad for convicting their dear leader. Will they start arresting Democrats for ‘trumped’ up charges? Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Break things through poor management. Lose your position justifiably because of that poor management. Then, while your replacement tries to fix what you broke, attack their plans, point out how bad things are under their watch. Mind you things are bad because of YOUR actions. But they are just not being fixed fast enough. While they put out your fires they also need to spin PR to tell everyone what they are doing to make things better. Asking the fireman to be the reporter. All while the arson screams “Fire!!!!”
Once you have simplified your lies to talking points and slogans make sure to have all foot soldiers repeat them until it becomes a religious mantra repeated by your congregation. Make sure that all blame if pointed outward. Never inward. The current administration is failing to fix things. Once again they are your things, but the congregation doesn’t care. Blame scapegoats, outsiders, boogey men and women. Anything or anyone but the real culprit, your incompetence and cynicism.
Once back in power make sure to ramp up the policies that lead to the problems in the first place. The goal is not to fix things but to make them worse. You want to then blame the systems and infrastructure of government as just not capable of meeting people’s real needs. Then hand all of these functions of a great society to private industry and capitalism. Soon all of the government will operate with the grinding inefficiency of our healthcare system.

Just a friendly reminder that Incumbents the world over are being booted out of office. Left, Right, and otherwise are being punished for global inflation. There’s absolutely no reason to believe that’s not what’s happening right now.
Considering the general American moronic economic vibes, and the way the rest of the world voted, I think Democrats did great this election. Governors held their seats everywhere, and most state legislatures booted out *every* Republican up for reelection.
People voted federally based on their economic vibes and that’s all. Considering that Kamala isn’t trailing that far in the popular vote, I would say this is an average response to historical economic conditions.
Obviously I think a questionable economy is ALWAYS worse under a fascist, but I couldn’t vote for everyone lol. I think we’ll be fine.
Pay attention to midterms. Organize, volunteer, and TOUCH GRASS. You and your buddies need to go door knocking and get drunk afterwards. Make some calls or send some fundraising texts next time you’ve got a few hours to yourself. Read, read, read.
