Just a pointless random fact. Estonia is the northernmost country in the world with no part of it being in the Arctic

  1. This has been sort of debunked under the original r/geography post.

    Technically Scotland has islands further north than Estonia and the United Kingdom does not have territories above the Arctic Circle. That would make The United Kingdom the northernmost country with no part in the Arctic.

    If we decide to not count small islands then the country of Iceland would be the winner. The visualisation in the post is wrong and the Arctic does not in reality intersect with Iceland mainland, only a tiny island off the coast.
