A COMPASSIONATE couple from Stratford have again been inundated with Christmas shoeboxes for Romania.
This is the eleventh year that Malcolm and Anne McCulloch have collected shoeboxes to send to Eastern Europe with the AMEN Trust.
They have received over 100 shoeboxes this year.
And in total over the eleven years they have received over 3,000 shoeboxes from individuals, workplaces, schools, Women’s Institutes, Brownies, Scouts, Rotary, Slimming World groups and churches.
Shoebox contents are everyday items but to those Romanian families living in very basic conditions they show someone cares enough to give them the only gift they will receive this Christmas.
Malcolm and Anne have visited Romania several times to help distribute the boxes, and say the visits motivated them to collect more shoeboxes each year.
