1. Just shocking that he didn’t have the moral compass to resign voluntarily and had to be pushed into resigning. Hopefully there will be a proper public enquiry now.

2. Moral compass, is that necesary for the clergy, not a lot of his colleagues seem to think so!

3. The Bishop of Newcastle, Helen-Ann Hartley, said yesterday that the archbishop resigning would not ‘solve the safeguarding problem’ but would ‘be a very clear indication that a line has been drawn’.

   Ah yes, this 100 is the line for sure this time.

7. In virtually every type of job involving working with children, you’re required to have a routine DBS check & safeguarding training. If churches aren’t being properly regulated, this needs changing.

   Safeguarding children is every adults responsibility.
