But Sinn Fein….

  1. It’s strange how some people always want to look at the bad and forget about the good. Ireland is one of the best countries in the World to live in. Yes we have problems, every country has problems. But we still have made massively improvements over the years.

    Quality of life

Lets see Sinn Fein record in DCC:

We welcome the agreement reached today between Sinn Féin, and the Independent, Labour and Green Councillors. We have agreed key priorities for the five year term of the City Council. **Our top priority will be to help address the housing crisis in our City.**

Remind me what social housing was built from 2014-2019 in Dublin?

  2. FFG are money hungry thieves and liars.
SF in the near past were the political wing of a terrorist organisation. Both statements are true.I’d rather not vote for either but the choice in my constituency is FF FG SF GP IFP AON and independents 2 of which used to describe themselves as independent/FF, so the choice is a bit of fucking shit

  3. Hot take – both parties are awful and The only way to have an SF government will be a coalition with FF which both of them will likely agree to

  4. SF are trying to kidnap all the butt hurt from the insults FF rain down. Tell it to your runners in Special Branch, a chairde.

  5. The Michael Martin quote is a bit disingenuous, he wasn’t saying we didn’t bail out the banks his point was we bailed out the country/people. His point was poorly made and you might disagree but he wasn’t lying.

  6. Sinn Féin, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are more obsessed with smearing each other than actual policy.

Most of what they do is complain about each other. Meanwhile Labour, the Greens and Social Democrats want to talk about policy and nobody wants to listen to them.

  7. Last I checked Fianna Fail don’t mock victims of terrorist attacks, unlike a certain other party OP is trying to defend.

  8. You can’t base the credibility of Sinn Fein on FF lack of credibility.

Sure let’s give them a go, but don’t build your foundations on the ruin of another party.

  9. Is there any easier or lazier way of getting karma on this sub than just writing “Fianna Fáil bad”? Well done to OP for saying something that has been already said a thousand times

  10. Does anyone else here not trust Sinn Fein but are voting for what they believe to be the lesser evil?

  11. Thank god Sinn Fein don’t have any skeletons in their closets that can be wheeled out in rebuttal to this…

I’m no FF fan, but glass houses lads…

  12. Fianna Fail are scum.

    No ifs, buts or maybes.

Everyone associated with the party are suspect. _Especially_ the newer cunts who sat through the likes of Bertie and Co, saw they were corrupt to the core, and still decided to join the party to get their own cut of all the brown envelopes.

You see as well how obsessed they are with badgering their leader into creating nonsense roles like “super junior deputy minister of X” so they can eank over having a title and enjoy the extra money and pension it brings.

    Literal scum.

  13. Dear god this generation thinks they’re the only ones that have had to survive a housing crisis but that doesn’t mean you start voting for scum. There’s literally a sf councillor currently in jail for murdering a man with a machine gun in a hotel. Say what you will about the other rotten lot but they’re not murderers.

  14. I find the irish a very brainwashed people and are too soon to forget, there is a long history of FF screwing the country for everything its worth, FG too, yet every election the people forget and vote them back in 🤣 its the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

  15. There are three absolute crooks in that picture, but it’s unfair to put Martin in the same category. I think Fianna Fail have been a plague on this country for generations, but Martin’s personal integrity has never been in question to the best of my knowledge.

  16. Into Controversial for the salt on your chips… i still can’t believe how triggered some get over a few pictures and text. If the images were lies , I’d say fair enough but these are well documented historical events..

  17. And all walk off into the sunset with multiple gold standard pension pots, leaving the tax payer with a few tribunals legal expenses.

  18. People say this and then vote them or FG every time.

Like how much more can the country go to shit if we vote someone else…. Like I’d take anything at this point

  19. I think the two big parties are losing alot of votes as their voting base ages and the younger generation’s are not foolish enough to vote for a party just because their family is staunch FF / FG.

People want whats best for them at the time of voting and right now I think in a lot of minds that is SF as the others are not up to it. Perhaps SF are not either but people are willing to give them a shot I think. Sure lets wait and see.
