Mehmet Davulcu, Secretary General of the Communal Liberation Party-New Powers, said that they fully believe that the new generations will succeed in solving the Cyprus problem on a peaceful basis.
In the program attended by all party representatives on BRT, Secretary General Davulcu conveyed the policies of the TKP regarding the Cyprus problem, referring to the right-wing parties that the right-wing parties favor the continuation of the status quo, former President Mustafa Akıncı ‘ statement , saying, “This is the last trial of our generation” and that the federal solution model cannot be realized. He said that his rhetoric about it was wrong and purposeful.
Pointing out that those who have been involved in politics until now are the generation experiencing armed conflict, Secretary General Davulcu said that young people from the non-conflict generation are taking the place of the conflicting generation and that they are raising the youth of the TKP as parties to peace in the world and in Cyprus.
Expressing that conflict and exploitation are a classical imperialist method, Davulcu said that the young people they raise are a generation that defends the fraternity of peoples, glorifies people and labor, and aims to establish equality, democracy and peace.
Stating that the young people they have trained will not only solve the Cyprus problem on the basis of federation, TKP Secretary General expressed that they sincerely believe that they will set an example for the solution of the problems in other parts of the world created by imperialist impulses.
At the end of his speech, Davulcu said that he wishes success not to the candidates participating in the program, but to the citizens who will go to the polls on January 23, adding that the individual voter has the task of thinking socially and making decisions so that the future of the society is in peace, democracy and prosperity.
