  1. Watched this a few times but the casual “welp he killed me” gives me chills every time, not a scream, just saying “okay bye”

  2. The journo was right when he said they needed to get out of there. Out of all the footage I’ve seen from different wars, the Chechen war makes me feel uneasy the most..

  3. It’s not advisable for untrained non-military personnel to be walking on the front line.

  4. A reason why people shouldn’t be babysitting in a war zone. I get it. Wars need to be documented but if he was a trained soldier and got hit and could still move he would have kept going and not waited for his guide and have them as sitting ducks.

The guy said he is pleased they have soldiers like him fighting yet he was the reason that soldier died.

  5. Appreciate the precise *dakka* *dakka* translation

  6. For his sacrifice, the journalists wife will receive 1 new (to her) kitchen appliance, to be chosen by the newspaper.

  7. Chechen wars were a mess. It’s 50% Islamic radicalism, and other 50% heavy mismanagement by the Russian authorities.

As a Russian I believe they were avoidable, if someone actually cared to prevent them. But nobody did, because the Soviet Union collapsed and oligarchs from the newly created states needed a black hole to trade arms, drugs, even people. Everyone had their cut. In some sense, some sort of war like that was unavoidable in times like those.

The only worse thing than the start of chechen wars was their conclusion – Putin installed puppet regime with a head personally loyal to him. People here say that Chechnya is a part of Russia – which is formally true. In the real life Russia is a part of Chechnya – if some Russian guy from Kostroma says something upsetting Ramzan Kadyrov, that Russian guy will pay dearly for that. The reverse isn’t true. Kadyrov publicly ordered to shoot any policeman from Russia operating in Chechnya.

    There will be more bloodshed.

  8. Life is short. War makes it shorter. Just ordinary guys like you and me. It’s sad. Be grateful for every year of peace you enjoy.

  9. Fimling has always been a pretty dangerous hobby, last time I fimmled I almost died too.

  10. Ok, maybe I missed something but place where they stop, and get shot at the and seems like a really bad place to be.

Don’t understand why they stopped there right at the open

  11. Why is it always the reporter wanting to “serpentine” or “zig-zag” 🤣

Gen Kill, anyone? “Next time, reporter. Run in a straight line. You’ll live longer.” 🤣

  12. Crazy footage. I don’t know anything about the Cechen wars. Are these areas still uninhabitable or did someone actually manage to clean it up?

  13. Sad how this is done after the segment is completed and he is returning to the back.

  14. Oof. Like a bee sting that keeps getting warmer and bigger till that pain kicks in like a rising tide.

  15. I just don’t understand why the Chachin wanna fight for russia

  16. Remember, when youre dead, you don’t know youre dead, The same applies when youre stupid. -Ricky Gervais

  17. Grosny was such a clusterfuck for „elite“ RU units, they did em real good, i remember it being on the evening news each day.
Shame it went to that sociopath Kadirov.

  18. Every time I see this I wonder

    1) “where did he get hit that injured him so he couldn’t move even though he was clearly trying”

    2) “where did he get hit that made him say he’s been killed because he knew it was fatal”

    3) “where did he get hit to still be able to speak one more sentence just before dying”

Especially that last one because he was still able to speak for just a bit before it all just shut off…
