An optimist would point out that two pages is about 500 words and thus quite a demanding task for a high school essay.
That’s quite the achievement in itself lol.
> Bettel, 48, who has been prime minister since 2013, said the thesis was more than 20 years old and written with a clear conscience. But “from today’s standpoint, it could have – yes, maybe should have – been done differently”, he said.
It’s amazing they all do this. When found to be 100% guilty, they admit 99.9% guilt, and the 0.1 is something they know that we know is a lie – but they won’t give up that 0.1.
It’s some sort of psychological hack or something.
Well, thats more than 1 page, I guess
He should return all the money he made through his diploma achieved through plagiarism.
In US this would not fly. He would be removed from University. That’s one thing US got right. No acceptance for cheating.
Keep an eye out for him, he’s a good fit for the EU Commission presidency.
You know what impresses me with these plagiarisms? That these politicians seem to not be able to paraphrase for shit. Wholesale copying of entire pages of content is really awkward and obvious but also a lot of work. I mean, think about it. You still need to search out the individual paragraphs and then modify them all to give a flow of reading which is not so different from ordinary academic work. In my mind at least, reading sources and then paraphrasing those sources with a few citations is much easier to do in both mental and time effort and it isn’t considered cheating than trying to fit the writings of potentially dozens of different writers into a single document.
Well, everybody makes mistakes.
Next time he will make sure to plagiarize all pages.
I love European politician plagiarism scandals
What a cunt. He should be stripped of the qualification.
I like he had two pages of originality tho
