  1. >“John Waters blew my mind with ‘Serial Mom,’” she said, adding that working in a video store while in high school was how she “learned about independent films.”

    >The “Megalopolis” actress added, “I was getting really into John Waters. I was getting really into ‘Waiting for Guffman’ and Christopher Guest movies. [But] ‘Serial Mom’ for me was like, oh my god…I was laughing so much. I thought it was the funniest shit I’ve ever seen. Of course I watch all those other movies and I just think he just doesn’t care. It’s so silly and over the top and ridiculous.”

  2. And now their ‘Liarmouth’ is dead thanks to a lack of funding. So disappointed.

  3. Serial Mom.

    Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a *long* time.

  4. Serial mom is still really funny. John Waters is a national treasure.

  5. This is how I found out you can’t wear white after Labor Day.

  6. I loved that movie as a kid. We rented it quite a few times.

  7. Think I’ll go out and pick some PUSSYwillows for the mantle.

  8. Serial Mom is great, but don’t leave out Guffman, the very definition of a cult classic and a litmus test for me.

  9. Lol I just got one of the mug shot shirts they’re selling outside the courthouse

  10. I only just watched this last year after seeing a clip or two online and it was everything I wanted it to be. A late fan but it’s on my rewatch list now

  11. My sister and I (43 and 47) still scream *”Pussywillow!”* at each other.

    Serial Mom is a classic.

  12. If she was ever cast in a John Waters movie, I would lose my *fucking* mind.

  13. Polyester is the one for me. The Baltimore foot stomper. That shits so good.

  14. I’m just numb at this point, if it burns it burns, we the United States people chose this. I hope $1.99 eggs are worth it

  15. I’m so glad I didn’t hallucinate this movie. I’d ask people if they’d ever seen it.
