2. Is that supposed to be german? How old is that pen pal?

   It is not the way writing is taught here. And while i might be wrong about that, it does not really look like kurrent or süterlin to me, either, which would be very old writing systems, as “early 20s century” old

   Edit: i checked the first word and it does seem to possibly be Kurrent. At least the H looks a lot like the kurrent one.
