Whole process needs looking at, the impression my niece got was that the Duke of Edinburgh award was practically a requirement for medical school, and those bloody things are not cheap.
Won’t make much difference, the Uni is still going to know what school you went too which is the number one indicator of privilege. If that fails they just ask you where you go on holiday.
Someone going to tell government that entry requirements are entirely under the control of universities.
