As a Canadian living in the UK im actively trying very hard to lose any notion of my Americanisms. My own half-American parent by choice renounced their American citizenship some years back now. I’m so finished with anything American. As Canadians growing up making fun of Americans was our past time but now im honestly becoming xenophobic towards Americans but im still trying to be civil about it all. Im sorry for the rant.
Unlike the bloody ungrateful yanks, Canada didn’t divorce its parents.

And French speakers in close proximity (if we shout at ours down the tunnel) in Quebec.
