Policing in the UK I think has an unrecoverable image problem.
This creates a negative feedback loop where ironically anybody who would actually make a good officer doesn’t want to be associated with the profession. Leading to the only recruits being less than scrupulous members of society who inevitably get caught doing something that brings the profession into disrepute.
Rinse and repeat.
There has to be a point where there are just so many bad apples you just say “fuck it” and have a banana instead.
Start them on 45k(or enough benefits that it works out that way). This will allow service to up the recruitment standards
Only way to clean up the force long term
One of the things I’m amazed by is the mum calling the police for a tenner.
I thought line of duty exaggerated police criminality but I seems to have downplayed it..
I’ve been watching a lot of auditing vids on YouTube, from what I can see is there is very little accountability for their actions, they know that the complaints procedure are an absolute joke.
Some idiot at work said they had the hump with all these police misconduct stories because ‘feminism has made it so you can’t even compliment a women anymore’.
Its incredible that it just keeps going at the moment, the fact this organisation tried to get people against Khan is mental to me espescially at the moment, so tone death.
