  1. maybe 5km downrange must be pretty shitty place to be, or do all of those rounds selfdestruct to little pieces?

  2. Holy shit this is one of the coolest looking clips. Need to loop an hour version

  3. I see spot lights to see the drones but it almost looks like city lights are on as well? If so why? Wouldn’t they treat this like the blitz and go lights out?

  4. Reminds me of the scene in Dune part 1 when the AA batteries open fire on the Harkonnen landing forces.

  5. This is horrifying and amazing at the same time. Those poor people have to fear for their lives because some idiot wants to steal their land and commit genocide. I can only imagine how horrible it is to live in such a situation, constantly attacked. God bless Ukraine and let’s all pray for a speedy victory to end this bloodshed.

  6. I always wonder where all the ammunition falls from the sky again…

  7. Do they hit anything or is it spray and pray type of defence?

  8. Whether it’s the case here or not I’ll add, that every 5th round in a belt of ammunition generally will contain a tracer round on machine guns. So if they stuck with most military doctrine, you’re only seeing every 5th round shot.

  9. I’ve always wondered where they all land and how much damage they cause in and of themselves.

  10. Interesting to see a vessel participating in anti-air defense

  11. That’s why it’s so important to stay in shelters during these attacks, even if a Shahed doesn’t blow up someone’s house, a 23mm projectile can pierce someone’s roof

  12. Wonder when humans will be able to graduate from our current forcefields to the ones in ScFi.

  13. I have a hard time understanding how people can find this cool or awesome. I get the visual appeal, but this is not Star Wars. Every single one of those tracers comes from a gunner that is desperately trying to defend their home from a brutal invasion. From drones/missiles that might be going for their family’s home.

I am utterly terrified by this. I am utterly thankful to live in a country that hasn’t seen war in my – or my parent’s – lifetime. I am utterly disappointed in my government for not doing more to help Ukraine.

  14. It’s paradoxically beautiful how those tracers light up the sky, almost like a firework display. On the one hand, the reality of what we’re witnessing is a tragic byproduct of conflict. On the other, an awe-inspiring display of light that most have fortunately never been forced to witness firsthand.

  15. Holy crap, now that I see this I can only wonder what it must’ve been like to be in the UK near any major cities during the blitz, same effect with alot more guns and hundred of planes running the gauntlet.

  16. I’m just imagining one day we’ll create weapons that can fire FLAK to make an actual FLAK wall like the Galactica does in *Battlestar Galactica*.

  17. Seeing this made me think of the video of the 100s of Lazers shining on the plane in Mexico.

  18. WWII 2: electric boogaloo

Not a single hit in this entire clip. All evidence points to it being *very* difficult to shoot down drones with gun-based AA unless you have sophisticated targeting & fuses like the Gepard.

  19. We really should send a couple C-RAM for perimeter defense of these cities. Paired with Patriot to keep Russia from blowing up the C-RAM sites with an Iskander.

  20. Imagine if you’re a parent or a kid……the fear…..unreal this footage

  21. What types of AA wee see in that video? It seems like it’s 3 different types one of which is on a boat?

  22. How have we reached a time when a US President that is elected who is friendly with the guy that is causing this? It honestly is so perplexing to me. I know the social circumstances that have to lead to all the current state of politics but it’s still bizarre.

I wonder how this is gonna be looked back on in 80 years compared to how we look at world war 2 80 years ago today

  23. So is this what a bombing raid would’ve sorta looked like in WW2?

  24. Blows my mind we put Russian puppets in the US Government leadership. Russia and China are the enemy of democracy and this is an easy way to reduce their stockpiles…
