> “As far as the idea of ‘I made it,’ I don’t think I made it, because every milestone takes me to the next milestone,” said the star, 49. “I’m making it. I’ve never had a house. I bought myself a studio. I have my office, but I stay in a hotel. I don’t have a house because I ain’t bought the house that says ‘I made it.'”
Wait a minute, so the scene in The Rookie where a guy gets stuck in his tree trying to find Selena Gomez’s house was a fictional one? /s
Dude is a dweeb
He is like a shit Kanye West.
You can stay at different hotel with different views and room settings at any time so I will be happy since you are stuck with your own house when you becomes the owner. You can’t remodel the house if you are the tenant.
This is a man that called the Ace of Hearts the “A of Hearts”. I don’t know if that’s relevant, but it seems like it is.
Will.I.Am has negative -9,000 aura
Living in hotels is actually pretty nice. When I first left my parents’ house at 18, I lived in a motel for almost a year and it was great. No cleaning, fresh bedding/towels/toiletries, no utility bills…the only down side is the cost. It’s usually cheaper to get an apartment, in the long run.
I mean, if you can afford it, sure. Basically free cleaning and a place you don’t really have any expenses for except the room itself.
Yeah if I could stay at the Corinthia Hotel when I felt like it, I would do it too. Not exactly slumming it. Lmao.
Hey quick. Write a headline that makes a millionaire look homeless.
Yeah but I wonder how many apartment blocks he owns.

Why do all these rich people get off on pretending they don’t have a regular place to live?
I bet he’s like that Key and Peele character from the “Continental Breakfast” sketch.
When is he going to make it?
Just buy a house… He’s worth, like, a gazillion dollars at this point. What is he even saying?
I know a rich dude who lives in hotel(s) and it’s way more opulent than it sounds.
He moves around a lot, so each hotel has a duplicate of belongings (mostly clothes) that they set up in his suite when he is in town.
Then you still have all the amenities of a luxury hotel at your disposal. Housekeeping, food service, etc.
Arguably it’s far more exorbitant than buying even a luxury home, since there’s no return on investment that comes from home ownership.
For some perspective, Keanu Reeves lived in hotels for decades. Just sayin’.
Oh my god. Ty for posting this. I literally lay in bed awake at night wondering where the something something person in a band 20 yrs ago lives. Thank you so much.
Will.i.am homeless
I saw a video of John Pinette doing a routine about living in a hotel in vegas.
He’s on the road long and often. When he’s due back home, he calls the concierge: I’ll be back tomorrow at 9:00am. Have my room ready & get the usual list of food and drink. I want a pot of coffee, OJ, and the usual breakfast waiting. ‘Yes, Mr Pinette. Welcome back.’
He takes a cab from the airport. His hotel has a named exit off the freway. He tells the cabby, take me to the X Hotel and all the drivers know exactly where to go and how to get there.
It’s been an overnight flight. He rolls up to the door and tells the hotel guy that opens the door of the cab, have my bags taken to the room. ‘Yes, Mr. Pinette.’
He goes to his room, has his breakfast, tips the porter who brings his bags, showers, and takes a nap. His groceries and stuff are in the fridge for him when he gets up for lunch. The bed was freshly made, the room cleaned, and fresh towels and bathrobe laid out.
His room has a ‘butler’s door.’ If he has a discreet guest, he orders room service with directions to leave it in the butler’s door. When it arrives, the porter has either a buzzer or a light, I’ve forgotten, that alerts him to the delivery.
It sounded nice. I wouldn’t like that life myself, but I’m not on the road most of my life.
“With FYI it’s all in one place, your news, your calendar, your collaborative work. It may sound like a foreign concept, but eventually it’s going to be the system.”
Look like he invented Yahoo! or AOL all over again.
Maybe he should get a house.
When people ask those weird party questions like “if you could have unlimited of something, but it can’t be money” I always say hotel stays. It would be pretty sweet living in hotels.
Little Richard had a hotel room on the sunset strip (the riot Hyatt) for 30 years.
