So devastating to hear about these senseless killings. I can’t imagine what the families of Mason and Max must be going through right now. I hope this serves as a reminder of the consequences of violence
*The jury was told how Max and Mason had been wrongly identified as being responsible for throwing bricks at a house in the neighbouring Hartcliffe area earlier that evening.*
That was their reason. If they had got the right people, still a bit of an overreaction. Feel awful for the family, losing their kids for nothing more than monumental stupidly and spite.
Five of them didn’t consider that literal murder wasn’t a good response to someone throwing bricks at a house.
If you read the past BBC articles, the bloke involved was a former aerospace engineer in his 40s.
The mind boggles really, that somebody like that could be so stupid.
So the bloke’s defence was that he drove 4 heavily armed, enraged teenagers on a revenge mission, but couldn’t possibly have imagined that anyone would get hurt? And it was all over someone they clearly didn’t get a good look at throwing a brick? I really don’t know what’s wrong with people right now.
Fucking mindless yobs. The scary part is the country is full of them. They set out to murder some children over a smashed window as well. Then murdered two random innocent kids in the process. Get em gone and out of society for good.
The boys will all be out by 30 I reckon, 10 year minimums? Hopefully will get more though
The only person I knew who was murdered in real life, a similar thing happened without the mistaken identity.
The ex boyfriend of a friend, and his 4 of his pals got themselves worked up about her dad telling them to leave her alone, that they got each other so enraged and mindless they they took TWO cars over to his house and killed him in his front garden.
It haunted me to see his daughter, who had a child with the murderer (whose dad killed his grandpa in this situation), fall apart in front of me.
But what really I still think about in relation to all murders is the drive over to find him.
Two cars meant there were two seperate conversations happened where someone could have said “let’s not do this”. But even with 2 chances to stop it they didn’t People go out looking for murder and aren’t satisfied till it happened. This case is murder murder murder
Enid Blyton’s posthumous work lacks the charm of the originals
the video of the victims running is awful. just knowing how scared they must have been
These people will never ever contribute anything to society.
The law needs to be changed to make sure they do via forced labour.
“Chillingly for me, what we do know is they even stopped off at McDonald’s after attacking those two boys,” Det Supt Haskins said.
“I think it speaks volumes really. Two beautiful boys lost their lives, and *they* went to McDonald’s for an early morning breakfast.”
I wonder why the BBC is leading with this story of a gang of white British thugs with machetes.
This is such a horrible horrible story. I watched the video with the murdered boys’ families. And I cried listening to the poor lady saying she would go into her boy’s room because it still smelt of him, and then would have to walk out and close the door. I know it sounds silly, but that really hit home – the magnitude of the loss – far more than a headline and a grainy social media photo swiped by a press agency.
And the police detective, saying that the boys involved had taken two lives – but also ruined their own. That there are no good outcomes, justice yes, but no good outcomes. Just young lives ruined because of mindless violence.
They were just talking about this on C4. Absolutely appaling attacks and they should never be allowed out of prison.
Those poor lads. They must have been so fucking scared and in agony in their last moments. They literally did nothing wrong and lost their lives for no reason. You must be either really fucked in the head or just a complete scumbag to do this.
Rest easy Mason & Max.
…Antony Snook, 45, will be sentenced on 19 November, while Riley Tolliver, 18, and three boys, 17, 16 and 15…
I obviously don’t know the full ins and outs of what happened other than what has been reported, but wtf is a 45 year old doing driving around with an 18, 17, 16 and 15 year old in his car?
Yet more evidence if it was needed that the justice system is completely rigged against the victims of violent crime and their families.
Horrible story. Those poor families. To know the last minutes of a child’s life was brutal like war!!
What about the parents of those evil boys?
Why am I not reading their charges?
When is our society going to start addressing toxic homes and the monsters lurking behind closed doors who raise children like this?
Theres a generation of screen-pacified parents now having children and who think parenting is Peppa Pig. The result will be a lot more stories like this because these kids lack remorse, empathy and sometimes a true sense of reality. Their brain development hasn’t been prepared for a real world.
They went to McDonalds after murder!!
I don’t believe kids who murder like this aren’t identifiable long before – this is where a lot of my frustration comes from right now. Their community’s will have experienced anti social behaviour many times but communities lack power to respond and share information about kids who make people’s days harder for their amusement. We should be identifying them as a community and coming to a true understanding of their nature.
A family should then be treated as a unit and pressured into addressing it’s toxic role models.
Bus drivers would agree with me, teachers would agree with me, my local Asda security would agree with me.
Community wardens who truly know an area and it’s families are needed now.
