Nissan to cut 9,000 jobs as profits plunge 93% • FRANCE 24 English
Japanese carmaker Nissan says it will cut 9,000 jobs globally, after net profit in the April to September period plunged 93.5% year-on-year. The company has struggled with weak EV sales in China and has missed the hybrid boom in the US. But first, Germany’s “traffic light” coalition has collapsed over differences on economic policy. At the heart of the political feud is the country’s “debt brake” system. Now enshrined in the constitution, it forces balanced budgets.

We want diesel and gasolina cars ,if you continue with climate B.S.you will collapse.
All the new nissan sports cars are amazing 👏
That's what happens when you discontinue ALL the Nismo offroad & PRO-4X 4WD models that built Nissan. They cut the Xterra & Frontier, and switchwd the Pathfinder to a car-style unibody frame. Oh but the 4cyl. Rogue & convertible Murano have been pushed up instead. Maybe you should bring the turbo-diesel Nevarra & Patrol models to the US to save what is left.
So you mean I'll have to service my Nissan GT-R at a Renault dealership ? 😲
Climate Hoax.
hahah
Nissan's decline has nothing to do with EVs as most Americans still prefer gas powered vehicles. Nissan's decline has to do with their CVT transmission and the unreliability of their cars
All of these workers are paying the price for the car companies listening to the environmentalists and building these awful electric cars and losing massive amounts of money on them
Mitsubishi always a punch bag 😂😂😂 what did they do ?
Well they fired and made a criminal of the CEO that got them out of that muck!! Imagine the guy save Nissan from bankruptcy when they were out of the hellhole they started politicking and literally house arrest the guy and charge him with the things the very same people in nissan now is doing!! Karma does come around. Carlos Ghosn is laughing at the poetic justice. I love nissan but the things they put out nowadays is just pathetic. I mean you get into your SUV and you want to purchase a Pick up which has the same interior and everything as your SUV has!! the car is also outdated.
Russia didn't affect it, Germany chose to shoot itself on the foot, thereby committing economic suicide.
GERMANY CHOSE EXPENSIVE ENERGY OVER CHEAP ENERGY.
They bet their entire company on POS cvt’s and lost big time
Here we go baby!
Walked into Nissan last year with cash literally in hand, wanted to buy a super basic Sentra with a Manual transmission. I really wanted one as a work commuter/ winter car. They couldnt be bothered to sell me one because "No one wants a manual, so we dont even carry them". After that the salesman told me to trade in my summer car at the time to go towards a Nissan Z. Their $90,000 CAD sports car.
Ill never set foot inside a nissan dealership again.
This isn’t the first time Nissan has been in trouble. They almost went under over 30 years ago and getting involved with a French automaker has brought them down again.
Everything plummets in 2025 📉
Putin won, but he had to wait awhile for the Germans to wake up from that green energy fantasy. Germany needs Russia for Energy.
Not putting your country it’s a debt isn’t a bad thing! America can learn something
Do not raise the debt break/brake…you dont need more debt, you need less debt and less banking oversight. You need free markets and stark competition without global influences affecting every aspect of your economy.
This was a way for him to get the information out without fear of censorship. Nissan cutting jobs in a video title is less likely to get removed or hidden than a title referring to the global banking elite wanting to enshrine more of the world into greatwr debt.
Nissan back in the spot light again. Who's surprised
call Ghosn.
can someone post his number?
