A visiting American tourist asked a question in this sub about his visa stamp earlier then after a few sarcastic responses changed his username and description to say he now hates Ireland and sent me abusive PMs. Some people have super thin skin.

The coolest thing and it’s cheesy as fuck, but when I was going through customs the officer noticed my very Irish name and asked if I had family there. I told him I think so but it would be distant if I did. He told me where the name was common and said “welcome home” with a smile and I about teared up.
    Did my best to enjoy without being obnoxious and every town I visited was beautiful and kind.

    I have see loads and loads of people that found ot down right insulting, so you have to think about that too because if it is funny to you who grow up using it and are used to it then it does not be and it most of the times it is not funny to the other side.

    In fact in majority of times I personally have seen it non-irish people find it down right insulting and fight are occured cuz of it, like serious fights with blood and broken bones and Gardai called.
