    We Romanians are incapable of such acts. We are direct descendants of the former glorious Dacian master race.

    Our history books taught us that we owned the Romans when they came for a battle.

    We can’t consider Kosovo a worthy opponent. Bring the big boys.

  3. Wasn’t racist when Kosovo fans called Romanians gypsies and thiefs and show eagle symbol which was used by Albanian fascists in WW2, but somehow a small group of Romanians(most were quiet) shouts “Serbia” and they are Racist….really snowflake behavior.

    My guess is Kosovo thought that by playing the racism card they hoped to be awarded automatic win…

  4. We play in Kosovo: their fans boo our anthem, chant “gypsies”, throw objects and all that good stuff.

    They play in Romania: Our players boo their anthem and chant “Romania” while their anthem was played. They throw objects at them. After one of their players attacks one of ours and then flips off the crowd the fans start chanting “Serbia”.

    And they complain of racism…

    Serbia, gypsy – one of them is a racial slur, guess which one it is.

  6. letting serbian fans (hools) come visit their matches, not welcoming kosovo for like the 3rd with incidents in their own stadiums. so many people blatantly ignoring the fact that there were more than just “serbia chants”. acting innocent and what so ever. the players clearly heard more than that, many of these players speak multiple languages. its not difficult to understand they werent just chanting “serbia”

    same with the switzerland serbia game. death to albanians, death to kosovars, nationalistic banners against albanians and kosovars but the opponent was Switzerland playing IN switzerland.

    both incidents on the same day and then crying that they were being called gipsies. the hipocrisy

    its only these 2 countries. only against albanians because apparently they have nothing better to do.

    take kosovo croatia, northern macedonia or bulgaria and you dont have these issues. none of these countries call for the death of albanians and killing them

  9. The difference here is when Albanians were racist towards Romanians in Pristina they didn’t leave the pitch and playid the full game. But when Romanians said a country that triggers them couse they attacked a Romanian player they just bitchh and cry haha. Victim mentality is the national identity of Kosovo. Image UEFA punishing Romania for this. If they don’t appeal this it just shows UEFA corruption.

    1. People from Kosovo suddenly started understanding the Romanian language and deemed everything racist.
    2. People from Kosovo don’t understand what “racism” means. If your country is a target then it’s called “xenophobia” not “racism”. Everyone on the pitch was caucasian, lmao.

Romanian football fans are not representative of your run of the mill Romanian, there’s mountains of evidence linking ultras groups to far right neo-nazi organizations, football simply gives them an excuse to be rabid nationalists in a setting where they won’t get any backlash over it. Our supposed closeness to Serbia is being pushed by these people alone, while Romanians in Timok and Aromanians further south have been subjected to forced assimilation policies for ages.

  13. I was at the match with my romanian wife. Unfortunately the romanian fans started shouting «Serbia» at first, and then they started making knife to throat signs towards the Kosovo players and staff and the fans started to throw chairs and object at the Kosovo staff. Im half romanian myself and want to Express my apology on behalf of our stupid fans! My wife started crying and both of us had one of our worst days in our lives

  19. Hooligan irony is just hilarious. Romania doesn’t recognize Kosovo as separate from Serbia, so technically the Romanians were just chanting the name of the country they were playing against- I would argue that’s actually great sportsmanship.

  20. I can’t believe regular people are really fighting over football. I mean, hooligans have negative iq and none of the teams can play football anyway.
