Huh, Germany eventually ended up taking the US line on warmaking? That’s so unusual that somebody else must have pushed them into it. It couldn’t have been the US. Imagine the US, occupying Europe militarily and having its financial system largely by the balls, using its massive power to effect outcomes that suit its interests! Inconceivable!
