OOH! Klahoma where the wind goes whistlin’ through their heads!

Well don’t you worry. Oklahoma is fixing that by buying a bunch of Trump bibles to ensure the kids learn the really important stuff.
Oklahomans would be very disturbed by this if they knew how to read words or analyze simple pictorials.
What does it mean that a state voted unanimously?
Stay classy OK!
I am sure with the institution of Trump bibles in the schools Oklahoma will soon surpass and eclipse Taxachusetts.
Which state is “First in healthcare “?
So the rare somewhat articulate Oaklahoman would argue that it’s the liberal Yankee elites in a state like Massachusetts who are keeping them down. They would agree that this image is precisely why they voted trump. They’d be wrong, but that’s what they’d argue.
Massachusetts is one of those states where I look up images of it, and it activates some vestigial part of my brain that wants to disappear into the scenic fall landscapes. It also produces a lot of photography of liminal spaces that don’t look like a crackhead is just out of the frame, but my taste in photography is besides the point.
When I think of Oklahoma, I think of blue gingham and struggle. But I also think that’s part of what’s largely lost us our grip on the working class of middle America. The Republicans pay attention to them. We mock them and don’t really offer much in the way of legislation benefiting people in broke and struggling states.
I wish I lived in Massachusetts…
I hate Tennessee…
For some reason, “Top Ten” for the poverty levels instead of ranking 1-50 like the other metrics bothers me.
Props to the GOP for their decades-long ambition and focus on creating a poorly-educated majority. It’s the kind of long-range planning and execution Democrats completely suck at.

I was just in OKC earlier this week. Overheard people spewing crap they heard in their churches about how they’re happy Israel will be protected by Trump because he picked Huckabee. Churches and Fox News spreading so much rubbish got a stronghold in that part of the country.
But the people are extremely nice so it’s always confusing how they vote for such hateful people. Even worse is that there’s a beautiful First American museum chronicling the history of native Americans and the atrocities committed against them. With that kind of museum in your backyard you’d think people would reflect more.
Yea, but what about Amurican Freedumb?
Too generous, Oklahoma is 49th in education. My home state.
College educated individuals did not vote for Trump across the US. There are more uneducated people in America than educated. Here we are. Godspeed everyone.
Oklahoma patient 0 for Idiocracy
Makes me think the people living in the poorest conditions might vote contrary to the current system because the current system has failed them
Look at all that freedom Oklahoma has. Yup that’s what that is.
Funny thing is the private schools in Oklahoma aren’t even as good as the public schools in Mass.
Proud of my state
Well clearly the liberals are benefitting from the status quo and so the genius Trump supporters see the need to flip the system around. By 2030, this will be the opposite. Trust.
Wrong.
West Virginia and Hawaii also voted unanimously.
RESEARCH. DO IT.
Edit: And Rhode Island!
I’m disappointed that no one made a Family Guy joke. That’s because the spirit of Massachusetts is the spirit of America. The spirit of what’s old and what’s new. The spirit of Massachusetts is the spirit of America. The spirit of the red white and blue.
He loves them because the poorly educated in our society are forced to live traumatic lives of quiet desperation and therefore will respond to populist messaging about burning the system down and are willing to believe target groups are causing the problem.
Because they will be aligned with those who have power on the other side of that destruction their lives cannot be much worse, and could be much better.
Three states: West Virginia also went straight red.
You people keep citing education on the daily now, may I just ask what the point is? Are you saying that someone who got a job right after high school shouldn’t have the same voting right as someone with a degree in liberal arts?
Or is the point that you’re saying “well, we lost the election, but at least our brains are big”?
I’ve lived in MA my entire life. The state is liberal because the schools and hospitals attract a diverse group of people from all over the country. But that’s mostly Boston metro. The rest of the state is very white and very racist.
Harris ran on a platform that boiled down to ‘we’re doing pretty well and a vote for me is a vote to continue in the same direction’
Trump ran on a platform that, to some extent, boiled down to ‘everything is terrible and we’re going to change everything up’
And people all over have been sold on the ‘everything sucks’ message, enough to get them to vote for a convicted felon who built his life on fraud and sexual assault. It sickens me but I’m trying to understand it, and that’s what I have come up with so far.
If Oklahomans could read, they would be upset.
I think Oklahoma is also grossly dependent on oil and gas and will probably end up like the coal mining parts of Appalachia when it runs out or ceases to be as valuable.
The shitty thing is that states like Massachusetts aren’t affordable places to live for people who want to bail out of red states. Otherwise there’d be insane migration to places like that.
Explains why one would want change while the other the status Quo.
Oklahoma should spend more money on Dick, Jane and Spot books instead of bibles.

This is an indictment of our cancerous society.
