Corbyn is about the only current MP who might win if he stands as an independent or for a vanity party.
they will humiliate themselves in his constituency… the national narrative of him being a bad man won’t work there .. I can’t wait to see the vox pox
Labour parachuting in a candidate to stand against a Labour MP who’d gone independent is how Corbyn got his job in the first place.
This has been coming for awhile. If Corbyn is not the Labour selection then it’s logical that Labour would run their own candidate.
Not sure how popular Corbyn would be as an independent or third party candidate.
But I guess we’ll find out.
Why wouldn’t they put up an official Labour candidate in that constituency? It would be bloody weird if they didn’t.
i’m absolutely tired of hearing about this. i’ve spent so long being told that i shouldn’t care about ‘ideological purity’ and that it’s more important to just make labour win. to me this does not look like that
Can anyone explain how intentionally losing another seat helps Labour win?
“Could”? Will have to.
My first thought was that it would be funny to see Corbyn lose this seat if he stood as an independent.
But then I realised that if he did lose we wouldn’t hear the end of it being some sort of Jewish conspiracy.
Do it, the older generation really hate Corbyn with a passion.
I live in this constituency. We will vote for Corbyn again. Starmer is an idiot for this one.
