Rostislav Moravec became the new director of the retail network of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group in Czechia on 1 November 2024. He replaced Vladimír Dočekal, who moved into the role of the executive director of the ORLEN network of filling stations in Hungary. The entire network of ORLEN filling stations comprises 3,500 sites in seven European countries, including Poland, Czechia, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Lithuania and Slovakia.

Rostislav Moravechas many years of experience with managing the retail segment. He held a variety of senior positions at AHOLD for 17 years and served as a manager of commerce at ÖMV Czech Republic for four years. Most recently, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Sportisimo, overseeing the retail chain.

Effective from 14 October 2024, Vladimír Dočekal, who previously served as director of the Czech network of ORLEN filling stations, took up the post of executive director of the retail network of ORLEN Hungary. Vladimír Dočekal has been with the ORLEN Unipetrol Group since 2013. In 2016, he assumed the role of the retail segment’s operating director. In 2020, he became director of the retail segment and was responsible for managing the network of ORLEN filling stations in the Czech Republic.

“I am pleased to welcome Rostislav Moravec to our Group. He is a manager with a wealth of experience in managing retail activities in many significant international companies and I believe he will bring a lot of new ideas and solutions on how to grow our business even further,” said Agnieszka Bobrukiewicz, a member of the Board of Directors of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group responsible for retail and marketing.

As the new director of the ORLEN network, Rostislav Moravec is facing challenges associated with developing modern infrastructure and maintaining a strong market position. The company also plans to expand its network of high-speed charging points. It will continue to emphasise the quality of traditional fuels, especially Efecta and Verva and implement alternative energy sources and biofuels. The strategy includes the constant development of the international Stop Café concept, which will be adjusted to meet evolving customer needs and market trends.

“Reinforcing the position of a market leader is crucial for us, both in terms of traditional fuels and modern infrastructure development for alternative drives,” concluded. “We will also focus on the expansion of additional sales and the continuous development of the refreshment offer. A key aspect in this area will be to maintain consistency across the entire network with an emphasis on the quality of products and services.”
